Power Surge Performance.... |
| So
just who is Power Surge, and where did they come from? |
| Well,
I'll give you an answer to those questions. My name is
Salvatore Mennella. You may recognize my name from being
related to anything SVT Lightning related. I founded the
National Lightning Owners Club, and ran it for over two
years. The NLOC was, and still is the authority for Lightning
information. While I ran the NLOC, I constantly fought
to give the Lightnings the attention and spotlight they
deserved. I sponsored some racing events that had Lightning
classes (Ford's at Englishtown, 99World Ford Challenge,etc.)
and I have always taken the role of the "voice" of
the Lightning community when it was our turn to have our
say. |

recently sold the NLOC to a new owner, who has taken over the
club. I decided to do this since I wanted to concentrate soley
on the performance tuning of these vehicles, and running the
club, developing new parts, and tuning customers trucks, was
just too much to all do at once. And so Power Surge Performance
was born..... |
| As
for a little background on myself, I have always been a Ford
fanatic. I got my first car at 15 years old, and have owned
over 35 Fords since then. Then, in the mid 90s, I was struck
by Lightning.... I instantly fell in love with the truck, and
lost all interest in the Pro-Street, 520 ci, tubbed 69 Cougar
I had at the time, so I sold it to my brother. From then on,
I have been constantly tinkering (heh) with Lightnings ever
since. Aside from that, I am a Ford Technician by trade, certified
in Engine Performance, EEC Diagnostics, Electrical repair and
all aspects of automotive repair. I am a master fabricator,
and have done many one-off custom vehicle builds. Power Surge
is also an Authorized Chipmaster distributor, using Mike Wesley's
famed EEC tuning software. |
